If your Pro or Enterprise subscription is cancelled or your payment method fails, your Organization enters a grace period before any changes take effect. This article explains each stage and what you can do to keep your Malets running.

When You Cancel

When you cancel your subscription from the Organization Billing page, your plan remains fully active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again, but you can continue using all Pro or Enterprise features until the period ends.

TIP

Changed your mind? You can re-subscribe at any time before your billing period ends and your Organization will continue without interruption.

As soon as you cancel, you'll receive a notification letting you know the exact date your subscription will end:

"Your subscription will end on June 11, 2026. Your Organization and Malets will enter read-only mode after that date."

You'll also receive follow-up reminders before the expiry date so you have time to decide whether to re-subscribe.

If Your Payment Fails

If your card is declined or your payment method fails during a renewal, the platform will:

  1. Notify you immediately with a link to update your payment method in your subscription settings
  2. Retry the payment up to 3 times over the following days
  3. If all retries fail, your subscription will be cancelled and the expiry process begins

WARNING

Make sure your payment method is up to date! If all 3 payment retries fail, your Organization will be suspended.

After Your Subscription Expires

Once your billing period ends (or all payment retries fail), your Organization enters read-only mode:

  • βœ… You and your team can still view all your data, products, and Murchases
  • ❌ You cannot create or edit products, services, blog posts, or team settings
  • ❌ You cannot create new Malets
  • βœ… Existing Murchases continue to be fulfilled β€” buyer experience is not disrupted

Your Organization dashboard will display a banner with a clear option to re-subscribe.

IMPORTANT

Extended Expiry & Unpublishing: If your Organization remains expired for 30 days without re-subscribing, it will enter a Frozen state. At this point, all of your Malets will be automatically unpublished and hidden from public view. If it remains frozen for 60 days, you will receive an archival warning prior to permanent archival.

Re-subscribing

You can re-subscribe at any time from your Organization's billing page, even if your account has been Frozen or Archived. When you do:

  • Your Organization is immediately restored to full functionality
  • If your Malets were unpublished, they will be automatically republished and available to visitors again
  • All your team members and data remain exactly as you left them
  • There is no need to re-create anything

Frequently Asked Questions

Does cancelling delete my Organization or Malets? No. Cancelling your subscription does not delete anything. Your Organization simply enters read-only mode after the billing period ends. All your data, Malets, products, and team members remain intact.

Will my visitors still be able to browse my Malet? Yes β€” during the initial suspension period, your Malets remain publicly visible. Visitors can browse and complete existing Murchases. However, you won't be able to add new products or make edits.

Can my team still access the Organization? Yes. Team members retain access and can view dashboards, products, and Murchases. They just can't make changes until the subscription is renewed.

What happens to my custom domain? Your custom domain configuration is preserved. It will continue to point to your Malet during the suspension period.

How do I update my payment method? Go to your Organization's billing page and click "Manage Payment Methods." You can add a new card or update an existing one. See Organization Billing & Checkout for details.
