Navigating The Tower

The Tower is the Mallnline Admin Dashboard — the oversight workspace where Malet Owners manage their Malets, track performance, and audit platform activity. It lives at /admin and is accessible from multiple points in the UI.

NOTE

"The Tower" follows Mallnline's workspace naming convention: The Deck (Malet management), The Studio (developer tools), and The Tower (admin oversight). Each workspace is named after a physical space within the virtual mall.

Who Can Access The Tower?

The Tower is available to all authenticated users. Once you sign in, you'll see the link in the navigation. What you see inside depends on your Malets:

Scenario What You See
You own at least one Malet (personal or via Organization) Full dashboard with tabs: Overview, Users, Trash, History, Analytics, and more
You've just signed up and haven't created a Malet yet An onboarding prompt encouraging you to create your first Malet or enroll your Organization
You're in an Organization context Data is scoped to your Organization's Malets — switch context via the Org Switcher to see different data

TIP

If you've recently created an Organization but no Malets belong to it yet, The Tower will show an enrollment guide to help you get started.

Finding The Tower in the UI

The Tower is accessible from three places:

1. Side Navigation ("Platform" Section)

When you open the side navigation (hamburger menu), look for the Platform section divider. Below it, you'll see The Tower with a distinctive amber/gold icon — it stands out from the rest of the navigation to make it easy to spot.

2. User Menu Dropdown

Click your avatar in the top-right corner to open the User Menu. The The Tower button appears alongside your other account management options like "Manage your Account", "My Murchases", and "Create Organization."

Scroll to the bottom of any page to reach the Sole (footer). Under the For Business column, you'll find the Admin Dashboard link.

IMPORTANT

All three entry points lead to the same /admin route. Your Malet data, analytics, and audit trail will be identical regardless of how you get there.

Tower Tabs At-a-Glance

Once inside The Tower, you'll see a tab navigation bar across the top. Here's a summary of each tab:

Tab Purpose
Overview KPI stat cards (Malets, Products, Murchases, Revenue), quick actions, recent Murchases table
Users Searchable + sortable user listing with profile detail drawer
Trash Soft-deleted Products, Services, and Malets with one-click restore
History Field-level edit audit trail — who changed what, and when
Analytics Five sub-tabs: Revenue, Blog, Media, Search, and Alerts analytics dashboards
Templates Email and SMS notification template designer
Search Search synonym management for your Malets
Payments Murchase history with filters and sortable columns
Inventory Stock health dashboard with low-stock and out-of-stock alerts

TIP

Some tabs are tucked under a More ▾ dropdown on narrower screens to keep the navigation clean. Click "More" to reveal Templates, Search, Payments, and Inventory.

Analytics Sub-Tabs

The Analytics tab contains six specialized dashboards, selectable via sub-tab buttons:

Revenue

Track your platform's financial performance — total revenue, Murchase volume, average Murchase value, and a top Malets leaderboard. Filter by date range (7d/30d/90d/1y) and currency.

Blog

Monitor your content engagement — total views, likes, post volume trends, status breakdown (Published/Draft/Archived), top authors, and top posts by views. Filter by Malet.

Media

Analyze your media storage and upload patterns — total uploads, storage consumption, average file size, MIME type distribution, processing health (PENDING/COMPLETE/FAILED), and top Malets by storage usage.

Explore your search index composition — indexed item count, item type distribution (donut chart), top categories, Malet coverage leaderboard, section tag cloud, synonym coverage by vertical, and reconciliation health status.

Alerts

Monitor notification delivery health — total alerts, delivery rate, channel distribution (Email/SMS/Push/In-App), event type breakdown, recent delivery feed with masked recipients, and Dead Letter Queue health panel.

Errors

View real-time crash reporting data from the platform's error tracking system. See total issues, unresolved count, crash-free rate, severity distribution (Debug/Info/Warning/Error/Fatal), and a sortable issue list with stack trace drill-down. Resolve, ignore, or reopen issues directly from The Tower.

Organization Context

The Tower automatically respects your active Organization context. When you switch Organizations using the Org Switcher in the sidebar or User Menu:

  1. The Tower's data refreshes to show only the selected Organization's Malets
  2. Revenue, analytics, and audit history are scoped accordingly
  3. Switch back to "Personal" to see your personally-owned Malets

NOTE

If you belong to multiple Organizations, you can quickly compare performance by switching context — no need to log out and back in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm signed in but I don't see "The Tower" in the navigation. What's wrong? Make sure you're signed in (check the avatar in the top-right corner). The Tower link appears for all authenticated users. If you still don't see it, try refreshing the page — the auth status may need to sync.

Q: Why does The Tower show "Unlock Admin Features" instead of my dashboard? This means you don't have any Malets yet (personal or via an Organization). Create your first Malet using the Malet creation wizard and the full dashboard will appear.

Q: Is The Tower the same as The Deck? No. The Deck is the per-Malet management workspace (manage individual Malet settings, products, services). The Tower is the cross-Malet administrative dashboard (overview of all your Malets, analytics, user management, audit trail).

Q: Can I directly link to a specific tab? Currently, tabs are selected within the page — the URL remains /admin. Hash-based deep linking to specific tabs is planned for a future update.

Q: Where can I learn about analytics in detail? See Understanding Analytics Dashboards for a full walkthrough of all five analytics sub-tabs and the Organization Analytics tab.
