Creating a Malet on the Pro plan now includes setting up your Organization as part of the same flow. Your Organization and Malet are created together after payment is confirmed — so you never have to worry about being charged before your workspace is ready.

How It Works

When you select the Pro plan in the Malet Creation Wizard, an extra Organization step appears before the final review. Here's the full flow:

1. Choose Your Vertical & Identity

Follow the same steps as any Malet creation — pick your Vertical, set your name and handle, and configure your outlet.

2. Select the Pro Plan

On the Plan step, select Pro ($29/mo). You'll see a callout explaining that this plan includes an Organization for your team.

The Enterprise plan is available for large teams with custom needs. Tap "Contact Sales →" on the Enterprise card to get in touch with our team.

3. Set Up Your Organization

After selecting Pro, a new step appears where you'll enter your Organization details:

  • Organization Name — The display name for your team workspace (e.g., "Acme Studios")
  • URL Handle — Your Organization's web address, auto-generated from the name. You can customize it.
  • Category — An optional industry category to help classify your org.

A live preview card shows how your Organization will appear on the platform.

4. Review & Subscribe

The final Review step shows a summary of both your Malet and your new Organization. When everything looks right, tap "Launch & Subscribe →" — you'll be taken to Stripe to complete your subscription.

5. After Payment

Once your payment is confirmed, the platform automatically:

  1. ✅ Creates your Organization
  2. ✅ Creates your Malet under that Organization
  3. ✅ Assigns you as the owner
  4. ✅ Redirects you to your new Malet dashboard

NOTE

Your Organization and Malet are created after payment is confirmed. You won't be charged until checkout is complete, and nothing is provisioned until payment succeeds.

What If I Close the Browser During Checkout?

Your wizard progress is automatically saved. When you return to the Malet creation page, you'll see a "Draft restored from your last session" banner. You can pick up right where you left off, or tap "Start fresh" to begin again.

Drafts are kept for 48 hours before expiring.

What About the Starter Plan?

The Starter plan (Free) works the same as before — no Organization is needed. You can create one Malet with up to 50 products and upgrade to Pro whenever you're ready.

What About Enterprise?

Enterprise plans are custom-priced for large teams. Instead of self-serve checkout, you'll work with our sales team. Tap the "Contact Sales →" link on the Enterprise card in the Plan step to get started.

Can I create a Pro Malet without an Organization? No — the Pro plan requires an Organization to manage billing and team access. The creation wizard handles this automatically.

What happens if my payment fails? Nothing is created. Your wizard draft is saved for 48 hours, so you can return and try again with a different payment method.

Can I add more Malets to my Organization later? Yes! The Pro plan includes up to 3 Malets. You can create additional Malets from the wizard and they'll automatically use your existing Organization's subscription.

Can I still create an Organization from /orgs/create? The direct Organization creation page is now reserved for platform administrators. Regular Malet Owners create Organizations through the Malet Creation Wizard when selecting the Pro plan.

Where can I see my Organization's billing? Visit your Organization Billing page to view invoices, update payment methods, and manage your subscription.
