Voice Messages let you record and send quick audio notes in the Complete Guide to uChat Messenger. Whether you're talking to a friend or asking a question to a Malet Owner, voice messages are fully end-to-end encrypted, ensuring no oneβnot even the platformβcan listen to your recordings.
How it Works
To send a voice message:
- Open any uChat conversation.
- Look for the microphone icon (
ποΈ) on the right side of the message input bar. - Click and speak! The input bar will transform to show your recording duration and a live audio visualizer.
- If you make a mistake, simply click the
Xto cancel the recording. - When you're done, click the send icon.
Your audio is instantly encrypted on your device and sent to the recipient, who can play it directly from their chat bubble using the built-in media player.
Privacy & Security
Every voice message you send is protected by the same military-grade encryption used for your text messages. The audio is locked on your device before it ever travels over the internet.
NOTE
For Developers: See uChat Voice Messages Architecture for the full technical breakdown of the encrypted blob pipeline.
