Monitoring Inventory Health
The Inventory tab in the Admin Dashboard gives you a real-time overview of stock levels across all your products. You can identify low-stock and out-of-stock items at a glance and configure when products should be flagged for restocking.
TIP
You can access the Inventory Health dashboard by navigating to Admin Dashboard â Inventory from the primary tab bar.
Health Summary Cards
At the top of the panel you'll see four interactive cards:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| đĻ Tracked Products | Total products with inventory tracking enabled |
| â In Stock | Products comfortably above your low-stock threshold |
| â ī¸ Low Stock | Products at or below your threshold â time to reorder |
| đĢ Out of Stock | Products with zero inventory â no longer purchasable |
Click any card to filter the table below to just that category. For example, click "Low Stock" to see only the items that need attention.
Reading the Stock Table
The table shows each tracked product with these columns:
- Product â The product name as it appears in your Malet
- Malet â Which Malet the product belongs to (shown as the Malet handle, e.g.
m|luminara-crafts) - Inventory â Current unit count. Zero-inventory items are highlighted in red
- Threshold Delta â How far above or below the threshold the product sits. A green
+40means 40 units above the threshold. A red-5means 5 units below - Status â Color-coded badge: green for "In Stock", amber for "Low Stock", red for "Out of Stock"
NOTE
Only products with inventory tracking enabled appear in this table. Digital products, services, and items where tracking was turned off during product creation are excluded.
Configuring Your Low-Stock Threshold
The sidebar on the right contains the threshold configuration:
- Use the slider to set your threshold between 1 and 100 units
- Or type a precise number into the number input
- The table updates instantly â no save button needed
Your threshold is saved to your browser and persists between sessions. The default is 10 units.
IMPORTANT
The threshold is a per-browser setting. If you manage your Malet from multiple devices, you'll need to set the threshold on each one.
How Stock Status Is Calculated
| Condition | Status |
|---|---|
inventory > threshold |
â In Stock |
0 < inventory ⤠threshold |
â ī¸ Low Stock |
inventory = 0 |
đĢ Out of Stock |
Taking Action on Low-Stock Items
When you spot low-stock or out-of-stock products:
- Restock via your product editor â Navigate to the product's edit page and update the inventory count
- Update variant stock â If the product has variants (e.g. sizes, colors), each variant tracks inventory independently
- Consider backorders â For high-demand items, you may want to keep accepting Murchases while restocking (backorder configuration coming soon)
TIP
Check Inventory Health regularly â Visitors who attempt to add an out-of-stock item to their uCart will see an "Unavailable" badge, which can hurt conversion.
Summary Section
The sidebar also shows a Summary panel with aggregate counts at your current threshold, giving you a snapshot without needing to scroll through the table.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why don't I see any products in the table? A: Only products with inventory tracking enabled are shown. Check your product settings to ensure "Track Inventory" is toggled on.
Q: Can I export the low-stock list? A: Export functionality is planned for a future update. For now, you can use the filtered table as a visual checklist.
Q: Does the threshold affect Visitor-facing availability? A: No. The threshold is purely an internal monitoring tool. Visitors can still purchase products as long as inventory is above zero.
