Questions & Answers

Have a question about a product or service? Mallnline's Q&A system lets you ask questions directly on any item page and get answers from the Malet Owner. The community can upvote questions to surface the most relevant ones.


Asking a Question

  1. Navigate to any product or service detail page
  2. Scroll down to the Questions & Answers section
  3. Click the "Ask a Question" button (you must be logged in with your uID)
  4. Type your question (minimum 10 characters, maximum 1,000 characters)
  5. Click "Submit Question"

Your question will appear immediately with an "Awaiting Answer" badge. The Malet Owner will be notified and can respond directly.

TIP

Check existing questions first — someone may have already asked what you're looking for! Use the sort options to browse by popularity or view answered questions first.


Upvoting Questions

See a question you'd also like answered? Upvote it to help it get noticed:

  1. Click the upvote button (arrow icon) on any question
  2. Questions with more upvotes appear higher in the "Most Upvoted" sort
  3. Click again to remove your upvote

Upvoting is anonymous — other Visitors won't see who voted.

NOTE

You must be logged in to upvote a question. If you're browsing as a guest, the upvote button will be disabled.


Question Statuses

Each question has a status badge that tells you where it stands:

Badge Meaning
Awaiting Answer Question has been submitted, awaiting a response from the Malet Owner
Answered The Malet Owner has provided an answer
Closed Question is no longer accepting answers

Viewing Answers

When a Malet Owner answers a question, the status badge changes to "Answered" (shown in green). To read the response:

  1. Look for the "Malet Owner Answer" toggle below the question
  2. Click to expand and read the full response
  3. Click again to collapse

Sorting Questions

Use the Sort by dropdown at the top of the Q&A section to organize questions:

Sort Option What It Shows
Most Upvoted Questions with the highest community interest first
Newest Most recently asked questions first
Answered First Answered questions at the top, then sorted by upvotes

Q&A Summary Stats

At the top of the Q&A section, you'll see a quick summary panel showing:

  • Total questions asked for this item or Malet
  • Answered count — how many have received a Malet Owner response
  • Answer rate — percentage bar showing responsiveness

This helps you gauge how active and responsive a Malet Owner is before asking your own question.


Where Questions Appear

The Q&A section is available on three types of pages:

Page Question Context
Product pages Questions specifically about that product
Service pages Questions about the service offering
Community page General questions about the Malet itself

Your Privacy

Your identity in the Q&A section follows Mallnline's privacy-first approach:

  • If you have a public profile, your @handle or display name is shown
  • If your profile is private, you appear as an anonymous Visitor
  • Your user ID is never exposed to other Visitors or Malet Owners

IMPORTANT

Raw user identifiers are never displayed in the Q&A section. Only your chosen display name or handle is visible. For more about privacy controls, see Privacy, Data & Cookies.


For Malet Owners

As a Malet Owner, you can answer questions directly from any product, service, or community page where you're the owner:

  1. Visit any page where questions have been asked
  2. Questions showing an "Answer" button are awaiting your response
  3. Click "Answer" to reveal the response form
  4. Write your answer (up to 2,000 characters) and click "Submit Answer"
  5. The question status automatically updates to "Answered"

TIP

Answering questions promptly builds trust and helps potential Buyers make confident Murchase decisions. A high answer rate is a strong signal of an engaged Malet.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit or delete my question?

Not currently. If your question contains an error, consider asking a new one with the corrected information.

Can I ask a question without logging in?

No — you must be logged in with your uID to ask a question. This prevents spam and ensures accountability.

Do I get notified when my question is answered?

Not yet — notification integration is planned for a future update. In the meantime, check back on the product page or use the "Answered First" sort to quickly find responses.

Can I ask questions about a Malet in general?

Yes! Visit the Malet's Community page to ask general questions that aren't specific to a single product or service.
