Support Center

Ngwenya allows Malet Owners to accept USDC cryptocurrency alongside traditional credit cards. The platform uses a stablecoin infrastructure that allows Visitors to check out using their preferred Web3 wallet, while you receive payouts exactly as you would with fiat currency.

How it Works

Because cryptocurrency is inherently different from traditional credit cards, the checkout and settlement process works as follows:

  1. The Checkout Experience: When a Visitor checks out with your Malet, they will see a "Pay with Crypto" option alongside credit cards. Upon selection, they are prompted to connect their wallet or scan a QR code.
  2. The Blockchain Network: Visitors can pay using USDC on several supported networks (like Ethereum, Base, Polygon, or Solana).
  3. Automatic Settlement: You do not need to set up a crypto wallet to accept these payments. The platform's payment processor automatically converts the incoming USDC and adds the equivalent USD fiat value to your standard payout balance.

NOTE

For Developers: See Stablecoin Commerce for the full technical architecture and webhook integration details.

Enabling Crypto Payments

To offer crypto checkout, you must enable it in your Stripe Dashboard, which is connected to your Malet.

  1. Navigate to your Malet Owner Dashboard and click Billing & Payouts.
  2. Click Manage Payout Account to open your connected Stripe dashboard.
  3. Go to your Payment Methods settings.
  4. Locate the Stablecoins and Crypto option and toggle it to "Active".

Once enabled, Visitors will automatically see the crypto option during the checkout flow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a crypto wallet to receive my earnings? No. All stablecoin payments are automatically converted and added to your standard fiat payout schedule. Your payouts will hit your connected bank account just like credit card transactions.

How do I refund a crypto Murchase? Refunds for crypto Murchases are handled exactly like credit card Murchases. Navigate to the Murchase in your Malet Owner dashboard and click Refund. The equivalent value will be returned to the Visitor's original wallet. For more details, see Refunds & Returns.

Can a Visitor chargeback a crypto payment? No. Blockchain transactions are mathematically irreversible, meaning traditional bank chargebacks do not exist. If a dispute arises, the platform's mediation team will help resolve it according to our Terms of Service.
