Notifications & Organization Invitations

Stay on top of everything happening on Mallnline — from Murchase confirmations to team invitations — all in one place.


Your Notification Center

The notification bell 🔔 in the top navigation bar is your central hub for all platform activity. A red badge shows your unread notification count.

What You'll See

Click the bell icon to see your recent notifications, including:

  • Organization Invitations — When a Malet Owner invites you to join their Organization
  • Murchase Updates — Confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery notifications for your Murchases
  • Community Activity — Replies to your reviews, discussion mentions, and issue assignments
  • System Alerts — Security notices, session warnings, and platform announcements

Quick Actions

From the notification dropdown, you can:

  • Click a notification to navigate to the related page
  • View All to open the full Notifications page with advanced filtering
  • Settings to jump directly to your notification preferences

Full Notifications Page

Visit Notifications from the bell dropdown or navigate to /notifications directly. The full page gives you:

Category Filters

Filter your notifications by type:

Filter What it shows
All Every notification across all categories
Organization Team invitations, role changes, and Organization updates
Orders Murchase confirmations, status changes, and delivery updates
Community Review replies, discussion mentions, issue assignments
System Security alerts, session warnings, platform notices

Bulk Actions

  • Mark All as Read — Clear all unread badges at once
  • Dismiss — Remove individual notifications you no longer need

Organization Invitations

When a Malet Owner invites you to join their Organization, you'll receive:

  1. An email to your registered email address with the Organization name and your assigned role
  2. An in-app notification visible in your Notification Center (if you already have a Mallnline account)

TIP

If you received an invitation email but don't see anything in your Notification Center, make sure you're logged in with the same email address the invitation was sent to.

Invitation Details

Your invitation notification will include:

  • The Organization name (e.g., "Mallnline")
  • Your assigned role (Member, Admin, etc.)
  • Who invited you (the name of the team admin)

After Joining

Once you've been added to an Organization:

  • The Organization will appear in your profile menu under "Organizations"
  • You can access the Organization's Malets and resources based on your assigned role
  • Your role determines what actions you can perform — see the table below

Notification Settings

Customize which notifications you receive and how they're delivered.

Accessing Settings

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top navigation
  2. Select Settings
  3. Scroll to the Notifications section — or click "Settings" in the notification dropdown to jump there directly

Available Preferences

Setting Description
Email Notifications Toggle email delivery for Murchase confirmations, invitations, and security alerts
Push Notifications Enable browser push notifications for real-time updates
Community Digest Receive periodic summaries of community activity on Malets you follow

NOTE

Some notifications — like critical security alerts and Murchase confirmations — cannot be disabled. These are essential for your account safety and transaction records.


Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving notifications

  1. Check your email spam folder — Mallnline emails come from notifications@mallnline.app
  2. Verify your email address — Go to Settings → Account to confirm your email is correct
  3. Check notification settings — Make sure you haven't disabled the relevant notification category
  4. Wait a moment — In-app notifications refresh every 30 seconds

I received an invitation but can't see the Organization

  • Make sure you're logged into the correct account — the one matching the email the invitation was sent to
  • If you were invited by email and don't have a Mallnline account yet, you'll need to sign up first using that email address
  • After signing up, the Organization should automatically appear in your profile

I want to leave an Organization

Contact the Organization Owner or an Admin directly. They can remove your membership from the Organization management page.

WARNING

Leaving an Organization will revoke your access to all associated Malets and resources. This action cannot be undone — you would need a new invitation to rejoin.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I be part of multiple Organizations? Yes! You can belong to as many Organizations as you're invited to. Each Organization appears separately in your profile menu.

Will I get notified when my role changes? Yes. If an Admin or Owner changes your role within an Organization, you'll receive both an email and an in-app notification.

Can I mute notifications from a specific Organization? Not yet — per-Organization notification controls are coming in a future update. For now, you can manage notifications at the category level in your Settings.

How long are notifications kept? Notifications are retained for 90 days and then automatically removed.
