Support Center

Your privacy is foundational to the Mallnline experience. Whether you are a Visitor browsing the Lobby, a Buyer completing a Murchase, or a Malet Owner managing your outlet, the platform gives you full control over your data, cookies, sessions, and security audit trail — all from a single settings dashboard.

When you first visit Mallnline, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen, letting you choose which types of cookies are active on your device.

Category Purpose Can be disabled?
Necessary Login sessions, uCart persistence, security tokens No — required for the platform to function
Analytics Anonymous usage patterns to improve the Lobby and Malet discovery Yes
Marketing Personalised recommendations and promotional content Yes
Functional Preferences like dark mode, language, and layout settings Yes

Managing Your Cookies

You can adjust your preferences at any time:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Data & Cookies.
  2. Tap View Policy to review the full cookie breakdown.
  3. Alternatively, scroll to the bottom of any page and select Cookie Settings in the footer to reopen the consent banner.

NOTE

If you are not signed in, your cookie choices are stored locally on your device. Once you sign in, your preferences are automatically synchronised to your account so they persist across all your devices.

Data Export

Under GDPR Article 20 (Right to Data Portability), you have the right to download a complete copy of all personal data Mallnline holds about you.

How to Export

  1. Navigate to Settings > Data & Cookies.
  2. Scroll to the Data Export section.
  3. Tap Request Export.
  4. Your data will be compiled into a structured JSON file and downloaded to your device.

The export includes your profile information, Murchase history, uCart activity, cookie preferences, and any content you have posted across Malets.

TIP

Data exports are generated in real-time. For accounts with extensive Murchase history, the file may take a few moments to compile.

Active Sessions

The Session & Security section of your settings shows every device and browser currently signed into your account.

What You Can See

Each session displays:

  • Device type — Desktop, mobile, or tablet
  • Browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.
  • Location — Approximate region based on IP address (the full IP is partially masked for your privacy)
  • Last active — When the session was last used
  • Current session — A badge marking the device you are using right now

Revoking Sessions

If you see a device you do not recognise, you can end that session immediately:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Session & Security.
  2. Find the suspicious session in the Active Sessions list.
  3. Tap Revoke next to that session.

To sign out of every device at once (including your current one), use the Sign Out Everywhere button.

WARNING

Revoking a session immediately invalidates that device's access. If someone else is using your account, they will be signed out and will need to re-authenticate. If you suspect unauthorised access, we recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication as well.

Security Event Log

The security log provides a chronological audit trail of all security-related events on your account. This helps you monitor for unusual activity.

Types of Events

Event Type Description
Login Successful sign-ins from any device
Logout Sign-out events (manual or session expiry)
Password Change Changes to your authentication credentials
MFA Enabled/Disabled Two-factor authentication status changes
Session Revoked When a session was explicitly terminated
Account Recovery Password reset or account unlock attempts

Filtering Events

The security log supports filtering by:

  • Severity — Info, Warning, or Critical
  • Event Type — Specific action categories listed above
  • Date Range — Recent activity vs. historical events

TIP

If you see a login event from an unfamiliar location or device, navigate to Active Sessions and revoke any sessions you do not recognise, then enable 2FA if it is not already active.

Age Verification

Certain content and Malets on the platform require age verification. If a Malet Owner has enabled age-restricted access on their outlet, you will need to verify your date of birth before viewing or purchasing from that Malet.

How to Verify

  1. Navigate to Settings > Data & Cookies.
  2. Scroll to the Age Verification section.
  3. Enter your date of birth and submit.
  4. Your verification status will be displayed (Verified, Pending, or Not Verified).

IMPORTANT

Age verification is a one-time process. Once verified, you will not be asked again. Your date of birth is stored securely and is never shared with Malet Owners — they only receive a pass/fail result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I withdraw my cookie consent after signing in? Yes. Navigate to Settings > Data & Cookies > View Policy to adjust your preferences at any time. Changes take effect immediately.

How long does a data export take? Most exports complete within a few seconds. Accounts with extensive activity may take up to a minute.

Can I see who accessed my account? The Security Event Log shows all login events with device and location information. If you notice unfamiliar activity, revoke the session and enable 2FA.

What happens if I fail age verification? You will not be able to access age-restricted Malets. If you believe the result is incorrect, please contact support.

Are my sessions automatically expired? Yes. Sessions that have been inactive for an extended period are automatically expired by the platform. You can also manually revoke any session at any time.

Is my identity protected when I contact a Malet's support? Yes. When you open a support conversation in uChat, you appear as a pseudo-anonymous alias — the Malet Owner never sees your real name or email unless you choose to share it. See our Support Anonymity & Contact Sharing guide for details.
