Support Center

The Lobby is Mallnline's front door — the discovery hub where you explore products, services, and Malets across the entire Virtual Mall. But as you find Malets you love, you'll want a way to stay connected. Following is how you do it.

When you follow a Malet, their latest products and blog posts appear in a dedicated "From Malets You Follow" feed at the top of your Lobby. Think of it as your personal aisle in the mall — curated by you, updated automatically.

How to Follow a Malet

Visit any Malet's page and look for the Follow button in the header area, right below the Malet name and handle. It's a small pill-shaped button that sits alongside the Malet's follower count.

  1. Tap Follow
  2. The button fills with color and displays a ✓ checkmark — you're now following

That's it. The Malet's latest content will start appearing in your Lobby feed immediately.

TIP

You don't need to visit a Malet's page to see their content. Once followed, their products and blog posts come to you in the Lobby.

Unfollowing a Malet

Changed your mind? Hover over the Following button on any Malet you follow — it will turn red with "Unfollow" text. Tap it to remove the Malet from your feed.

Your Lobby feed updates instantly. No confirmation needed.

Your Personal Lobby Feed

When you're signed into your uID account and following at least one Malet, a new section appears at the top of the Lobby called "From Malets You Follow". This section:

  • Shows the latest products and blog posts from Malets you follow
  • Displays them in a horizontal scrolling strip — swipe left to see more
  • Each card shows the item type (Product or Blog), the name, a description snippet, the Malet handle (m|handle), and the price if applicable
  • Tapping a card takes you directly to the product or blog post

NOTE

The feed shows up to 20 items from your followed Malets, sorted by newest first. It refreshes every time you visit the Lobby.

Follower Counts

Every Malet displays its follower count in the header. This helps you discover popular Malets and gives Malet Owners a sense of their community size.

  • Counts of 1,000+ are shortened (e.g., 1.2k followers)
  • Your own Malets don't show the Follow button — you can't follow your own Malet

What Your Follow Feed Shows

Your personal feed pulls two types of content from the Malets you follow:

Content Type What It Includes
Products New products added to any followed Malet's catalog
Blog Posts Published articles and updates from followed Malets

Each item card includes a colored badge so you can quickly tell what type of content you're looking at.

Privacy & Visibility

Following is a personal action — here's what to know:

  • Who you follow is private. No other Visitor can see which Malets you follow.
  • Follower counts are public. The total number of followers a Malet has is visible to everyone, but the individual followers are not listed.
  • Malet Owners are notified. When you follow a Malet, the Malet Owner does receive a notification — this helps them understand their growing community.

IMPORTANT

Following is different from Wishlists & Collections. Following subscribes you to a Malet's latest updates in the Lobby. Wishlists save specific items for later. You can use both!

Do I Need an Account?

Yes — following requires you to be signed into your uID account. If you tap the Follow button while not signed in, you'll be redirected to the sign-in page. After signing in, you can return to the Malet and follow them.

Anonymous Visitors (browsing without an account) see the same Lobby discovery feed as always, but without the personalized "From Malets You Follow" section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I follow more than one Malet? Absolutely. Follow as many Malets as you like. Your Lobby feed will show a mix of content from all of them.

Will my feed become overwhelming if I follow too many Malets? The feed is capped at 20 items and prioritizes the newest content. Even if you follow dozens of Malets, the feed stays manageable.

Does following a Malet affect my Wishlists? No. Following and Wishlists are separate features. Following subscribes you to updates in the Lobby, while Wishlists save specific products and services to your collections.

Can Malet Owners see who follows them? Malet Owners can see their total follower count but cannot view a list of individual followers.

I followed a Malet but don't see the feed section. Make sure you're signed in and try refreshing the Lobby. The feed section only appears when you follow at least one Malet and the Malet has published content (products or blog posts).
